Nonetheless, when peoples are threatened with genocide and appeal for help, Israel cannot turn its back.

Well i can say 2 things,one is that this issue is not pretty and 2 that it is affecting all of us.
What it is really happening in Gaza is that Palestinian and Israeli have a territory conflict towards isralei,let me tell you that this problem has been here hide for to many many years and still they wont seem to do something about it. Hamaz is taking power over Palestinian and such.

It’s clear that Olmert and Barak think that they can decapitate Hamas- my guess is to set the table for a Fatah resurgence and a new “peace” initiative guided by the new American Administration. I also think, as I said on the show yesterday- Ehud Barak thinks a “victory” in Gaza will help his party in the upcoming election. The latter might work but read the Vanity Fair piece - if history is any measure, even if Hamas is “destroyed” the chances of a more extreme militant and hostile group emerging from the ashes seems to be around 100%.

They are preparing for the war,and they are ready to fight,in this picture a soldier is shown with a gun and a army van with other soldiers,its a little blur but you can see it.
He is scare of what is going to happen,obviously he is not happy at all,and he is threat by the fact he might die,but at the same time he is being courageous for being there with their people.
He doesnt know how to react towards one situation like that,it is really not good to see him like that,he is really sad.He might wanna say to them that why we are doing this,he might threat them or kill them in a certain way he will do what an officer needs to do,to be following the orders that the chief had given him.
